Yup, that's me.
I'm a 28 years old Web Developer residing in Craiova, Romania(yeah, yeah, Dracula(just fairy tales trust me), Gica Hagi, Nadia Comaneci with ă not a, is ComĂneci). Anyway, my IT joruney started in the 2nd year of University when I found that a company that supports the University has an Internship program which was about to start so I took my chance and I signed up. I was selected and then introduced to the dark side of IT, Quality Assurance. I learned about how to prepare/mentain documentation, create stories, test cases and most importantly how to escape from a fight with the Development team. After this internship I was selected to stay as a paid(what fools) employee. After 1 year and a half, when I reached the peak of my Junior QA Engineer role I felt I needed to switch to a new, bigger project so I ended up to NetRom Software. I woke up in a more corporate environment with more standards guidlines and procedures to follow. I learned a lot here about managing a project (from the QA point of view, I haven't reached management yet). I also started to create an Installer for one of my projects (I forgot to mention, I have gotten 3 projects from the same client, cuz why not?). The colleagues from the Dev team was hmm.. ok(joking, they're really great people) so I've decided to help them and create an automated build system with Jenkins that would take the props of the build depending on the environment and client and create and deploy the build. In my last year at NetRom I also started to gain some dev skills and I created a project with Angular and .NetCore. After internal discussions the management decided to move me to the development team but I wanted to pursue new challanges in a domain that I was a beginner in, but with a dream, so I changed the company and also I switched sides to developmen. I joined TOKERO team in the earliest stages of the rewrite and participated in all the technical decisions. We've moved the main app from ASP.NET MVC to React+NextJS and .Net Core. After ~ 2 years I found myself as a Mid dev. In this company I've learned a lot, working in a startup is the best thing to do if you're a dynamic person because everything moves faster and you need to keep up. I was working as the only developer on one of the products, PrimaCriptomoneda.ro, which is a learning platform containing courses meant to help the beginners learn about cryptocurrency and educate users for the platform workflows. I was also working on an improved version of the above mentioned app, now rebranded as EduElla.ro. I was also mediating the discussions between TOKERO and the launchpad projects’ CEOs/CTOs/third party team in order to be sure that the token transfers and unlocks are made correctly. I learned a lot about SEO, Marketing and all other adjacent stuff. In terms of frameworks and technologies, recently I've discovered Remix and Tailwind CSS and fell in love with them. Besides those I've decided to also focus on my Javascript-related skills from now on, "archiving" the .Net ones. If you were able resist until here, I congratulate you and at the same time, are you ok? PS: I almost forgot about the clickbait photo from the beginning, always safety first, IT is a hard place to work and the QA people are dangerous persons.
